Life @ Infy -3

Completed 3 years in the company, i think it is the right time to revisit what i feel about working here.

The thing that drives me at any day are:

1. Making money

2. Meeting friends and family

3. Being able

They say money cant buy everything hence the points 2 and 3.

When i ask myself if i like my job, the answer is immediate and a YES. What do i like in my job is something that has been giving me immense pleasure right from childhood. Making things work.

I used to enjoy working with broken things and figuring out ways to fix them. It started with the transistor radio at home and before i knew it i was doing the same for a telecom company in Germany. I consider myself immensely lucky that i love my job. I still care about the value of this job more than the fact that i am earning less than my friends.

Where do i stand

This is a thought that crosses the mind many a times a day. Where do i stand:

Where do i stand at work?

Where do i stand at finance?

Where do i stand at health?

The answer is something that drives me to do more and more in life. Man is hardly satisfied with what he has at any point, there is always more and more that wants and he can do. Here comes the choice of priority. Man is born intelligent enough to make choices. He can think rationally enough to decide that food is more important than a cricket match.

But the choices are not always that simple; Mutual fund or Fixed deposit, now there are a hundred ways each person can justify what is good for him/her. Unfortunately not all people know enough to make the choice or care enough to make choice for himself. So the man seeks advice from people with similar interests and then makes his choice.

I would like to thank all people who have helped me make decisions and move forward in life.
